Hello. I’m Marie and I’m a graphic designer who has worked in the industry for 12 years specialising in print, typography, book design and branding for both local and global clients. I work as a part-time lecturer on the BA Graphic Design course at the University of Portsmouth as well as giving lectures and workshops on Graphic Design, Publication Design, Typography and Book Binding for BA Fashion & Textile Design and MA Architecture.
In the past I've worked for design agencies in London including Territory Studio and as a graphic designer at award winning design studio ilovedust in Portsmouth.
In 2011 I won national Print Futures Award.
I currently teach in higher education, freelance as a graphic designer and have set up a riso studio and print collective, foursandeights, with my husband and fellow designer and illustrator, luckydarren.
I’m a print and typography addict that loves nice paper stocks, the smell of print, graphic design, teaching, bookbinding, stargazing, bee saving and fours and eights number obsessing, but my biggest loves are my two sons and my soulmate.
